I bring over 25 years of experience in various management and director roles within an international environment—ranging from smaller companies to large multinationals such as Bombardier and 3M.
My management style is best described as the Swedish approach: collaborative, consensus-driven and based on equality. As a people manager, I highly value honesty and integrity, and I strive to create a positive work environment where every team member can thrive.
In addition, I am a strong advocate of data-driven decision-making (DMAIC; Lean Six Sigma), always complemented by a healthy dose of practical horse sense.
Over the past five years, as Operations Director and right hand to the CEO, I focused on what I do best: keeping operations running smoothly, closing gaps and taking on challenges others often avoid. This approach not only delivered double-digit growth for five consecutive years — it also carried us through COVID, the successful implementation of a new ERP system (Business Central) and the seamless integration of the Dutch operations, adding 400+ dealerships to our network.
Before that, I worked at Bombardier and 3M, where I deepened my expertise in Customs & Trade Compliance. By collaborating with authorities in full transparency, I successfully guided both companies through audits, obtained AEO certifications and renewed export licenses that had previously been withdrawn. I was also closely involved in the implementation of SAP GTS and the Customs Streamliner interface at both organizations.
My ability to step up in times of crisis once took me to Monaco where I was tasked with reorganizing the logistics department of a jewelry company that had been struggling with operational inefficiencies.
My approach is very hands-on. I like to be close to the people on the floor — working alongside them when needed, bringing structure where it’s lacking and empowering team members to take responsibility. I enjoy coaching people and with empathy and honesty, offering them insights that help them take meaningful steps in the direction they want to grow.
Dutch is my mother tongue and I am fluent in both English and French, which allows me to communicate effectively in these languages in professional settings. In addition, I have a good knowledge of German along with basic skils in Swedish and Italian.
Successful ascents of Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and two journeys to Mount Everest Base Camp have taught me valuable lessons about resilience, perseverance, patience, adaptability and finding strength in discomfort.
While reaching the summit may be what you initially hire me for, the real value lies in how my approach helps your team appreciate the journey—and grow stronger along the way.
My Swedish management style naturally extends into my personal life where I embrace the Lagom philosophy—not too much, not too little – just right. It’s a principle I share with my wife and two children and we live it daily… together with our own little animal farm: one dog, three cats, four horses, three chickens and 2 beehives.

When I’m not working or spending time with the animals, I dedicate myself for some years already to coaching a youth football team at Sparta Wortegem. Having played through all youth categories myself on elite level at professional club SV WAREGEM, I see this as my way of giving back—sharing my experiences and helping young players grow, both as athletes and as team players.
